“White Lies #1” by artist Ann Lewis is a chrono-reactive documentation of every false statement uttered by President Donald Trump in 2017.
“White Lies #1” Process Shots: These images show the transformation from a standard American flag to the final work (above) as the artist, Ann Lewis, transcribed all 1950 lies told by Donald Trump during his first year as President of the United States. The process required over 250 markers and she covered the flag 15 times. The lies were sourced from The Washington Post’s fact-checking team.
