Hollywood Royalty on MADAME SECRETARY & New Film Role

Hailing from a long line of Hollywood royalty, actor Sam Daly is ready for his turn in the spotlight and heating up television sets across the nation as marijuana industry lobbyist and ‘Daisy Grant’s’ (Patina Miller) fiancée, ‘Win Barrington’ in CBS’ hit political drama series “Madam Secretary,” opposite Téa Leoni, Geoffrey Arend, and his Emmy and SAG Award-nominated father Tim Daly.
Season four of “Madam Secretary” currently airs Sundays at 10pm on CBS.
Additionally, Daly is set to co-star in the zombie comedy-horror film OFFICE UPRISING opposite Zachary Levi and Jane Levy set for a February 2018 release.
Madame Secretary“explores Secretary ‘Elizabeth McCord’s’ (Téa Leoni) life as the determined and newly appointed United States Secretary of State who drives international diplomacy, battles office politics, and circumvents protocol as she negotiates global and domestic issues, both at the White House and at home.
The show also focuses on the personal lives of her family and staff including her press secretary ‘Daisy Grant’ (Patina Miller) and Daisy’s fiancée ‘Win Barrington’ (Sam Daly), a medical marijuana industry lobbyist who learns that she has been unfaithful to him with ‘Matt Mahoney’ (Geoffrey Arend), the Secretary’s speechwriter.
Sam Daly’s real-life father Tim Daly plays Head of the CIA ‘Henry McCord,’ the Secretary’s husband of 25 years.
The series is created by Barbara Hall (Homeland'” “Judging Amy“) and is exec produced by Lori McCreary and Academy Award-nominee and Golden Globe Award-winner Morgan Freeman.
On the feature film front, Sam is set to star as ‘Marcus Gantt’ opposite Brenton Thwaites (“Titans“), Jane Levy (DON’T BREATHE), and Zachary Levi (THOR) in the zombie horror-spoof OFFICE UPRISING, directed by Lin Oeding (STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON).
OFFICE UPRISING is the story of an underachiever working at a weapons manufacturing company who finds that his colleagues have been weaponized by a new energy drink, and must then rescue his love interest from an office building full of psychotic coworkers.
The film, which garnered international attention at Cannes, can be described as a mashup between cult favorites ZOMBILAND and OFFICE SPACE, and is set for a February 2018 domestic and international release.
Growing up in a family full of professional actors, Sam’s childhood was nowhere near normal.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, but growing up as the definition of “bicoastal,” Sam and his family moved over 15 times – moving from Rhode Island to New York to Los Angeles and back again.
With actor Tim Daly and actress Amy Van Nostrand as his parents, Sam was convinced he would break the line of actors, and instead, was more interested in sports.
It wasn’t until he took a film class at Middlebury College, did he realize that it was his passion.
Paving his own way in Hollywood, Sam has guest starred and earned memorable recurring roles on some of TV’s biggest hits such as NBC’s ‘The Office’ (where he played ‘Oscar’s’ gay love interest ‘Matt’ who works in shipping) and ABC’sGrey’s Anatomy.
In addition to his work in film and television, Sam co-hosts the popular YouTube series“The Daly Show” with his father Tim Daly. The duo, who are incredibly close, are also the only father/son to play or lend their voice as Superman (Sam Daly for the animated “Justice League” and Tim Daly for the series “Superman“)
