Eliminate the Noise. For Spring/Summer 2017
Tim Coppens reimagines his signature shapes with samurai-inspired touches, original fabrications, and intricate detailing. Blazers and bombers are done in patterned, the technical fabric including grid, gingham, pinstripe, and houndstooth. Aluminium coated nylon gives a metallic sheen to zip-up sweatshirts, bombers and layered shorts and references athletic clothing of the 1990s. Long, judo-style belts and vertically aligned stitching refer to traditionally Japanese dress and an abstracted Mt. Fuji is reflected throughout. 90’s tracksuit-inspired color-blocks and graphic elements add youth-references to the collection and stay true to Coppens’ own 90’s upbringing and the skate and club scenes in his native Belgium.
Classic tailored and tech fabrics combine to create the signature Tim Coppens mix. Lasered, bonded, micro-thread embroideries and foil prints are combined to create Kimono-inspired all over graphics on bomber jackets. Graphic hoodies and tees are screen printed with reoccurring shout-outs; ‘ACID,’ ‘IN MY HEART,’ and ‘ELIMINATE THE NOISE’ again referencing the youth culture Coppens’ draws much of his inspiration from.
This collection introduces Tim Coppens original footwear – a structural, architectural, leather sneaker with fold down neoprene backing. The sneaker will be available for men and women next Spring
