Anna Sui Fall/Winter 2018
By Austin Velarde
Tapping into a bohemian dream of the 60s and 70s, Anna Sui created quite the spectacle, as is extremely common for the 65-year-old designer, with her Fall/Winter 2018 collection. Sui’s show had a reminiscence of the supermodel era as it opened with uber-popular model Gigi Hadid and closed with sister Bella Hadid. Filled with rouge, blush, mint and lilac tones seen within various metallic brocade, jacquard and faux fur textiles, Sui’s revivalist collection is a major highlight from NYFW.

“Its everything that I loved before I came to New York when I was a kid in Michigan dreaming about being a fashion designer,” Sui said in an interview with The collection was titled “Beloved” to symbolize a young Sui’s love for fashion while living in Detroit.
