Dolce & Gabbana Debuts Fridges & Cookers Steeped In Elaborate Italian Motifs

Luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana has teamed up with appliance manufacturer Smeg for the third time to release a bold and daring collection.

Dubbed ‘Divina Cucina’, the collection—which was first unveiled during Milan Design Week—pays homage to Italian culture and it features two different sets of Victoria range cooker, extractor hood and Smeg’s ‘FAB28’ fridge.

All appliances are inspired by Italian elements and each has been crafted to reflect the Italian heritage. The first iteration shows blue and white print inspired by the Italian maiolica ceramic pottery.

It features depictions of Mount Etna, Pollux in Sicily’s Valley of the Temples and ruins of Greek temple of Castor.

The second set looks similar to ‘Sicily Is My Love’ collection, and it shows illustrations of pears, lemons and cherries together with triangular geometric shapes.

The appliances also feature floral motifs, which reflect the landscapes of Southern Italy, and carries fiery orange and red tones.
