Give the Gift of Photo Start

New York, N.Y. (May 21, 2019)

After everything he’s done for you over the years, Dad deserves a great gift, and a donation to Photo Start is a great place to begin.

Practically speaking, Dad may need a tie, but he certainly does not want a tie. Dad wants to give the gift of learning, just like he shared with you!

“We believe that giving back to those who are in the most need is one of the greatest gifts someone can receive,” said the founder of Photo Start, David Lehman.

“This Father’s Day campaign gives families the opportunity to better the future of the world and steer away from the common gifts of ties and coffee cups.”

Looking for awesome Father’s Day gift ideas?

If you’re wondering what to get your dad, you’ve found the right place.

Give your dad a Father’s Day gift that represents his generosity and helpfulness.

A donation to Photo Start will honor your dad and pay it forward (while giving back).

For the dad who values a good education:

• Help break the cycle of poverty by supporting an educational program that teaches marketable skills to children in low-income countries around the world.

For the dad who loves a great gadget:

• How about donating an iPad or Camera Lens in dad’s name to help a child overcome the limitations placed on them by growing up in an area of extreme poverty.

For the dad who taught you to share:

• Wouldn’t most dads feel more honored by a donation to Photo Start than by a contribution to commercialism?

I think so.

My hunch is that family members, manipulated by commercial messages, think that they aren’t showing dad enough love if they don’t buy him something expensive.

So why not put those same dollars to good use by helping to keep these children safe from street gangs and terrorists while providing education and mentorship.

What is the Photo Start organization? Photo Start is a non-profit organization that focuses on helping children in impoverished areas, particularly those most at risk of being left behind, by teaching students the skills and platforms that will empower them in the information age, while also promoting their personal and economic advancement, as well as overall wellbeing.

Volunteers donate photography equipment, accessories, and money to allow Photo Start to provide for all of the children to be given the opportunity to grow and advance in the global digital divide

Most Needed Items to Consider for Donation

Digital Cameras

SD Cards

Tablets

Computers

New rechargeable batteries

Donations are always needed and appreciated. Your donation to Photo Start is much more than just a donation of an old, unused item.

Besides keeping these items out of landfills around the world, cameras are collected and used in classes with children in poverty-stricken countries.

Each camera then provides an underprivileged child the opportunity to learn the value and need for planning, preparedness, expression, while also building their self-confidence in a way that few children in these areas could ever have imagined possible.

Photo Start, established in 2016 and registered as a 501(c)3 charity organization in the USA and Non-Profit Organization in South Africa, was formed to foster creativity and teach marketable skills to disadvantaged children in depressed areas around the world.

Founded by David Lehman, a professional photographer, and attorney with legal experience in youth at risk, Photo Start developed a core digital photography program that was adapted to work with children with little technical expertise and lack of access to it.

Programs are free to our beneficiaries due to the generosity of our partners and supporters. To learn more, visit us online at www.photostart.org.
