GOTHAM DROPS A CAPSULE COLLECTION

WITH ANONLYCHILD AND FUN CITY TATTOO

Gotham, the first premium cannabis and cultural concept store in New York, announces an exclusive capsule collection with anOnlyChild  designer Maxwell Osborne and Fun City Tattoo owner and artist Big Steve. The limited-edition collection takes inspiration from the fashion of the early aughts with tattoo artistry, urban street style and high fashion. The anOnlyChild X Gotham X Fun City capsule collection launches Friday, October 13th in store at Gotham, 3 E. 3rd (at Bowery) in Manhattan.

For the collection, Fun City’s Big Steve transformed the Gotham logo giving it an edgy, streetwear aesthetic alongside anOnlyChild’s Maxwell Osborne, known for his cutting-edge designs. Maxwell lent his unique creative vision and perspective to this limited-edition capsule.

The collection is comprised of three limited-edition unisex pieces including: a mesh snapback hat, a t-shirt, and hoodie. Each item is available in black and made of high-quality cotton with the logo embossed using 3M off white ink, harking back to the style of the early 2000’s.

“New York City is a constant inspiration for anOnlyChild. Working with two very talented teams, where NYC’s energy and culture is part of their DNA, has been a special experience for me, “says Maxwell Osborne, Designer and Founder of anOnlyChild. “This limited edition drop speaks to the nostalgia of street style. Coming from Disenfranchised New Yorkers, Big Steve and I bring exclusive designs to Gotham, the latest cutting-edge retail dispensary in town.”

“Maxwell is an old friend and supporter of Fun City, so it made sense to collaborate together. We are all about working with unique brands, so Gotham was a great fit for Fun City to collab with. In general, my goal is to make our clients happy. No ego, no attitude, just a good positive mental attitude with a hint of sarcasm,” said Big Steve.

The anOnlyChild X Gotham X Fun City Tattoo capsule collection retails for $50 – $200 and will be available exclusively in-store at Gotham on October 13th until supplies last. Gotham is located at 3 East 3rd Street and doors open daily at 10:00 a.m. For more information, visit www.gotham.nyc.

Located at 94 St. Mark’s Place in the East Village, Fun City Tattoo is the oldest tattoo shop in Manhattan. Fun City Tattoo emerged as a pioneer in New York City, seamlessly blending the worlds of fine art and hardcore punk, marking its place in history. The shop draw an eclectic clientele, including gang members, Hell’s Angels bikers, celebrities, and New York high-society artists. Regulars like Iggy Pop, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jim Jarmusch, Kate Moss, John Joseph, Naomi Campbell, and a young Freddy Madball were entranced by the shop’s captivating and unconventional charm. In 2001, a young apprentice, fondly known as Big Steve, began his journey to Fun City as a shop boy. His style, a fusion of traditional Americana, miniature art, traditional Japanese minimalism, and black and grey imagery, rapidly gained recognition in the tattoo world.

A decade ago, the shop changed hands, landing in the capable ownership of Steve and his partner, Maxx Starr, hailing from Richmond, Virginia. Together, they revitalized Fun City’s aesthetics while assembling a talented team of tattoo artists, including Mina Aoki, cousin to the renowned DJ and a fellow hardcore scene veteran. Fun City Tattoo has seen its fair share of transformations and a diverse array of patrons. In a neighborhood now dominated by trendy eateries and identical-looking shops, Fun City Tattoo stands as one of Saint Mark’s last authentic relics, shaping the tapestry of American culture with each passing day.
