Renata & Lucca is a cinematic study of a young mother and her precious little boy. Beautifully shot during the recent winter of pandemic weary New York City. Isolation, coldness, emptiness, separation are themes explored in the work as Renata navigates an empty city. Lucca transforms this emptiness with his joyful, playful abandon. He is the catalyst of hope and survival, the manifestation of motherhood and the strength and determination of women.
The story is narrated by the deeply emotional sounds of classic Brazilian music featuring Heitor Villa-Lobos, Juca Storini, Irineu de Almeida and Chiquinha Gonzaga.
