Leading Ballet Brand Launches Activewear Brand, ZISE by BLOCH
BORN FROM DANCE, DESIGNED FOR LIFE.
The first truly authentic, dance-inspired lifestyle range ZISE makes its debut on the international stage. Combining technical excellence with timeless elegance, ZISE springs from one of the world’s leading ballet brands, BLOCH – and reimagines the traditional dance aesthetic with a premium, ultra-feminine activewear range that’s as stylish as it is functional.
Each piece has been designed with a modern dancer’s busy lifestyle in mind: the ZISE woman arrives at her exercise class in the same outfit she intends to leave in. As her day unfolds, her look needs to adapt accordingly, so the pieces are based on layers that she can effortlessly peel off or pile on.
For the ZISE launch collection, the campaign features New York City Ballet dancer and BLOCH enthusiast, Mimi Staker, who goes from rehearsals to relaxing with friends, confident in the knowledge that she not only looks stylish but feels comfortable – and can trust her outfit to work for her.
Building on the heritage of BLOCH, founded in Australia in 1932 by Jacob Bloch, renowned for his bespoke pointe shoes, ZISE takes dancewear to the next level. Named after the founder’s wife and led by the third generation of the family, ZISE remains true to its core values of craftsmanship and quality while continuing to innovate and push technical boundaries.
Created in consultation with professional dancers, the range is inspired by the feminine shapes and styles of ballet and features beautiful, on-trend pieces in premium breathable fabrics ranging from double knit spandex to plush velvet.
The debut autumn/winter 2019 collection, appropriately entitled Swan Lake, includes satin-trimmed unitards, leggings and crop tops designed for dance, as well as slouchy knitwear and cosy faux-fur bomber jackets, with lifestyle moments in mind. All in a romantic palette of biscotti and soft pink and grey, offset with pops of sage and merlot.
