Nats Getty Announces Launch of Strike Oil Lifestyle Brand
LOS ANGELES, CA – January 15, 2019
Artist, LGBTQ rights activist Nats Getty officially launches Strike Oil lifestyle brand today, January 15. An LA-based inclusive design house founded by Getty, Strike Oil was created as an artistic outlet that offers a positive platform and community for the LGBTQ community.
Encompassing a wide range of products from hand painted vases to everyday apparel and accessories, all Strike Oil pieces will embody the same ethos of style and rebellion of the “uptown meets downtown” aesthetic that defines Getty’s art and personal style.
Most notably known for her commissioned paintings and bespoke hand painted leather jackets, Getty made sure to include an accessible element to her otherwise premium lifestyle brand in order to embrace all types of customers.
“Strike Oil is not just a lifestyle, it’s a thought process” Getty states, “I want girls who feel more comfortable on a skateboard than with a Barbie to still feel beautiful.
I want ‘the differents’ to realize that they are the people that the cool kids come crawling to after high school and college.
Being different isn’t bad, it’s our currency. Strike Oil is created for the consumer who aspires to “strike oil” in love, life, career and self.”
The first release will consist of the Checker Tee ($85) and Checker Hoodie ($165) on custom silhouettes designed by Getty.
The checker print is infused with neon rainbow colors as symbols of LGBT pride, which will be a running theme throughout all drops.
An additional 8 styles ranging from accessibly priced bandanas and pocket squares to elevated, handmade bombers will be available for pre-order and subsequently release throughout the month.
Made in the USA and exclusively available at StrikeOil.com, additional product drops will sporadically occur monthly throughout the year and will be announced via the Strike Oil Instagram.
