By Austin Velarde
Korean designer Son Jung Wan truly hit the mark with her latest Fall/Winter 2018 collection. Based off an 80’s inspiration, her fun and flirty collection is definitely one to remember from NYFW. “More is more” is the staple theme of this collection filled with florals, fur and sequins.
A mix of soft yellows, blues, and pinks shown throughout the collection, creating the most elegant of looks. Son Jung Wan took millennial pink to a completely different level with her exquisite rose dust pink shearling jacket and pink leather shorts outfit. To complement this look is a delightful men’s rose dust pink coat and turtleneck with silk pants.
The wide leg pant made its presence known in this collection multiple times. From the yellow silk jumpsuit, a pair of royal blue silk pants with 3D butterfly decor and a silver woven top with matching wide-legged pants, Son Jung Wan made the wide leg look effortlessly chic.
The unique combination of florals and fur that shown all throughout NYFW last February was beautifully crafted in Son Jung Wan’s show.A flirtation between the spring and fall seasons took place as floral patterned jumpsuits were paired with fox fur scarfs and coats.
