For Fall/Winter 2026/2027, Son Jung Wan explored the language of modern romance through silhouette and restraint, presenting a runway collection that balanced emotional softness with structural precision. Shown in New York, the presentation offered an unexpected sense of openness for the winter season.

Rounded, broadened shoulders defined the collection, shaping garments that suggested embrace rather than armor. The gesture softened traditional tailoring, allowing strength and vulnerability to coexist. Outerwear and suiting maintained architectural clarity, yet curved construction introduced fluidity and warmth.

A palette of subdued winter tones grounded the runway, directing focus toward proportion and movement. Wide-leg trousers swayed with ease while dresses moved with quiet elegance, their circular, doll-like silhouettes lending subtle playfulness to otherwise refined looks. Minimal color blocking reinforced the collection’s clean visual language, emphasizing form over embellishment.

Describing the season as an exploration of “modern romance,” Son Jung Wan avoided overt sentimentality. Instead, romance appeared through motion and posture—through garments designed to move with the wearer rather than overpower them. Femininity emerged assured and contemporary, defined by confidence rather than fragility.

In the intensity of New York’s winter pace, the collection resonated as a softer counterpoint: clothing for passionate city dwellers who carry tenderness beneath structure. Fall/Winter 2026/2027 ultimately positioned Son Jung Wan’s runway as an invitation—to openness, connection, and a quieter kind of love.
