Austin Smith, originally from Detroit, Michigan is an artist and designer working in NYC.  Austins artistic roots come from a background of printmaking and sculptural garment construction, using printed textiles and 3D elements to create avant-garde costumes.  Through this exploration and Austin’s ties to nightlife in New York City, his fascination with accessorizing through jewelry grew and the brand Austin James Smith was born.  Austin James Smith pieces posses a push and pull between glamorous and deadly, inviting the wearer in with simple chic designs while keeping one on their toes with sharp edges.
