New York, NY – September 9, 2023 – The Green Show, a groundbreaking annual event dedicated to promoting sustainable fashion, made its dazzling debut during New York Fashion Week, marking a significant milestone in the fashion industry. This inaugural event, held at the soon-to-open Bond St Hudson Yards, exemplified the transformative power of fashion as a force for positive change.

The Green Show is not just an event; it’s a vision for a more sustainable future. With the fashion industry’s impact on our environment in mind, The Green Show partnered with eco-conscious brands to showcase innovative solutions. The runway show, featuring the Spring/Summer 2024 collection by Dur Doux, stole the spotlight, proving that sustainability and style are a powerful combination.
The “Sous Marine” collection by Dur Doux transported the audience to the depths of the ocean, offering a unique perspective on sustainable fashion. The garments vividly narrated the story of underwater life through their shapes, textures, and colors. Standout looks included ethereal flowing kaftans that mimicked ocean waves, floor-length shirts adorned with coral-inspired patterns, and ruffled bandeaus reminiscent of playful sea creatures. These pieces, made
from eco-friendly Italian knits, recycled materials, and OEKO-TEX-certified fabrics, underscored the brand’s commitment to sustainability. The debut of one and two-piece swimwear and beachwear encouraged attendees to embrace sustainable fashion choices this summer.
The runway show’s looks were expertly styled by Christine Manthey, complemented by the exquisite shoe designs of Tejahn Burnett, and adorned with captivating jewelry pieces exclusively by Sophie Blake.

Beyond the runway, The Green Show’s panel discussion, led by Roman Bolli of the South Pole, convened a diverse group of sustainability experts. Topics ranged from sustainable lifestyle changes and corporate solutions to ethical production practices and the role of fashion in climate change mitigation. The event also featured an after-party, where guests savored delectable sushi and cocktails, enjoying the breathtaking views of the Hudson River.
The Green Show’s commitment to sustainability extended to its sponsors and partners. ELEMEDTM delivered eleBoostTM Vitamin B12 shots during the event, promoting wellness and eco-conscious living. The event’s gift bags featured eco-friendly products like GOODAL Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum, Garnier Micellar Water, Physicians Formula, and fragrances from Banana Republic.
This inaugural event was just the beginning. The Green Show’s mission is to revolutionize the fashion industry by advocating for sustainability, ethical practices, and eco-conscious living. As it prepares to take its message of sustainability worldwide, with events planned in Dubai, Paris, London, and Milan, The Green Show aims to inspire a global movement. By leveraging the power of fashion and New York Fashion Week, The Green Show is set to redefine the industry’s norms and make sustainability not just a choice but a way of life.
