Two Culturally Transformative Companies Converge in Collaboration: Modernizing Corporate America To Reflect the New America
The Dual Partnership Aims to Drive Awareness and Call-to-Action that Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Will Not Be Enough To Save Corporate America

NEW YORK, N.Y. (July 6, 2020)

Jeffrey L. Bowman, a 2x award-winning Wiley published author and former Madison Avenue advertising executive turned tech entrepreneur, is co-founder and CEO of Reframe: an enterprise software as a service technology company, joins forces with Elizabeth Harrison, co-founder and CEO of powerhouse and award-winning integrated marketing communications firm: Harrison & Shriftman (H&S) to steer Corporate America toward a transformation that accurately reflects the cultural reality of New America.

The collaboration was created through a provocative co-authored White Paper written primarily by Bowman titled “Why Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Will Not Be Enough To Save Corporate America.” Through his research and award-winning Future of Work thesis, over the past five years, Bowman uncovered why this integral change is so difficult for organizations. Bowman’s findings showed that up to this point organizations have merely addressed the symptom of the societal problem from a racial and identity standpoint but neglected to tackle the underlying cultural underpinnings that are essential to affecting meaningful change.

Bowman’s conclusion? Corporate America is two to three generations behind America(c) and needs to adapt quickly in a profound way or face the tide of a cultural transformation sweeping the nation.

“Because of COVID-19 and Black Lives Matter, America and Corporate America are at a cultural crossroads,” said Bowman. “As People Leaders look to navigate the growing social climate and the ongoing racial inequalities, inequities and microaggressions faced by the Black and Brown workforce; they are also faced with the growing challenges of managing employees remotely. CEOs now have the opportunity to reframe the workplace and close the cultural gap between Corporate America and America.”

Reframe and H&S together will work to tackle a decades old problem using Reframe’s Cultural Maturity Model© and Operating System to assess and understand the cultural gaps needed to be closed at the company, team, group, and individual employee levels. Through the use of Reframe’s Cultural Maturity Model©, a customized strategy is developed to help close cultural gaps that span across the employee lifecycle. The strategy includes:

  • A personalized learning curriculum that is scalable, sustainable and powered by Reframe’s People Leaders technology platform which provides real-time addressable employee data and intelligence through 12 bundled and integrated workplace tools.
  • A diverse group of seasoned brand and media strategists who drive diverse thinking, perspectives, awareness and action. The breadth of services includes: cultural based brainstorms, strategy planning sessions, messaging, positioning, media relations, programming, access to a diverse network of community partners, vendor and supplies, digital and in-person activations.
  • A website, IAmAPeopleLeader.com, that serves as an online resource hub for People Leaders seeking to culturally transform their companies.

“At H&S we pride ourselves on developing provocative, game-changing, counter-cultural movements, shared Harrison. “Over the past decade, we have been extremely intentional about right-sizing the organization to ensure it is completely diverse – spanning past race, gender, religion and ethnicity to include diversity of thought and perspectives. This union with Reframe naturally aligns Jeffrey’s vision and proprietary operating system with H&S’ long history of championing justice, self-expression, inclusion and equity. Our team of marketing professionals are situated in the intersection of culture, consumer passion points and cause. These internal shifts have not only created a positive impact on our company culture but has proven to drive exponential creative and financial growth for our clients.”
