“Kali” (formerly Joan Marie Yarusso) produced most of her artwork in the 1960s and 1970s.
These hand-dyed images and original Polaroids exemplify the counter-culture and experimentation of the period.
Most have never been seen before.
A four-volume book survey titled “Kali Ltd. Ed.” will be published by powerHouse Books in October 2021.
This is Kali’s first major exhibition.
