Ricardo Seco NYFW SS2020

ASTUCIA collection by Ricardo Seco, inspired by El Chapulín Colorado
There are icons, phrases and characters that have become part of Mexican and Latino culture, that we remember and pass down to younger generations.
Being astute is a quality that our cultures share. It allows us to face the world we live in.
As Latinos, we do everything full heartedly.

Ricardo Seco’s S/S 2020 spring collection represents that spirit.

These are garments that can be combined and adapted, they are comfortable and easy to
wear. We will find references to the 1970s, NYC and Mexican icons.
This is a street style with a palette that includes Seco’s trademark black and white, but also red and yellow.
More elements to find will be iconic phrases, humor, heroism, and above all, pride in a culture that transcends, but also speaks to the realities that we
face today.

For S/S 2020, Ricardo has developed an urban collection full of astuteness with sophisticated touches. It is an unisex collection available to everyone.

The collection is made up of urban silhouettes, sportswear details, light jackets, oversized shirts, sweatshirts, t-shirts, shorts, pants, leggings, windbreakers,
accessories and bathing suits. Materials include cotton, satin, charmeuse, felt, neoprene, leather, lycra and tie-dye.

Everything is done intentionally pointing a red hero that is agile, strong, kind, big- hearted and that taught us that real courage is not being unafraid, but overcoming
fear… the Chapulin Colorado!

50 years after this television character was created, we are still counting on his astuteness and we are ready to celebrate him.
