The North Face’s Japanese-Designed Mountain Parka Doubles As A Backpack

Japanese fashion designer Junya Watanabe—protégé of Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo—has released the ‘Trail Pack Customized Jacket’ made in collaboration with The North Face.
This latest iteration follows up from the former ‘Terra 65’ backpack-inspired jacket from the Spring/Summer 2018 collaboration.

The full nylon mountain parka comes in a puffier material than its predecessor, with built-in zip backpack behind, zip pockets on its front, and reflector stripes on the sleeves and hood.

Junya Watanabe x The North Face’s ‘Trail Pack Customized Jacket’ is now available in Japan stockists as well as online at JP¥205,200 (US$1,830).
See more images of the outerwear in The North Face’s Instagram album below.

In another recent Japanese brand collaboration, The North Face reimagines cold wear in its seductively stylish and cozy collection.
